CricVault ("the app", "we", "us") is a cricket scoring and statistics app run by Sheshadri C, India. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. It applies to the CricVault apps for Android and iOS and to this website.

Voice and microphone

When you score by voice, the app uses your phone's built-in speech recognition (Google's speech service on Android, Apple's on iPhone) to turn what you say into text. CricVault does not record, store or upload your voice. Only the recognised words are used, on your phone, to update the score. Google and Apple handle speech under their own privacy policies.

Camera and photos

The app asks for camera or photo access only when you choose to take a profile picture or import a team sheet.

2. What other users can see

CricVault is a sports community, so some information is public inside the app: your name, photo, playing role, city, career statistics, rank, badges, and the scorecards of matches you played in. Your email address and mobile number are never shown to other users.

3. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information and we do not show ads. We use these service providers to run the app, and they process data only on our instructions:

We may disclose information if Indian law requires it.

4. How long we keep it

We keep your account information until you delete your account. When you delete it, your sign-in details, profile, photo, badges and rank are permanently removed within 30 days. Scorecards of matches you played in stay part of the tournament's record but are no longer linked to your account.

5. Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, and raise a grievance. You can edit your profile in the app at any time and delete your account from Profile → Delete my account, or by following the steps on our account deletion page.

6. Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored with access rules so that each user can change only their own information. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

7. Age

CricVault accounts are for people aged 18 and over. Organisers may add younger players to a team sheet only with their parent's or guardian's consent.

8. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
